Thank You, Mom

Thank you, mom,
For teaching me that money isn’t everything.
I’ve learned that I don’t have to be wealthy to be happy.

Thank you, mom,
For teaching me that being a mom is the most important job in the world.
I’ve had the courage to buck the trend and stay home while all my friends go to work.

Thank you, mom,
For teaching me about Jesus.
I know that I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

Thank you, mom,
For loving my children.
My heart melts when I see them hugging you.

Thank you, mom,
For telling me that once I was married, I had to work things out with my husband.
I’ve never been tempted to run home to you when he and I don’t agree.

Thank you, mom,
For believing in me.
I’ve had the courage to try and fail and learn from my failures.

Thank you, mom,
For calling me every Saturday morning.
Now that I’m older, it’s cool to have my mom as a friend.

Thank you, mom,
For just loving me.
You’ve given me the tools I need to be a great wife and mom.

I wouldn’t be where I am, if it weren’t for you.

What wonderful things to have learned from your mother! It sounds like she was an excellent mother and role model.

    Thanks for participating!

Let me wipe away the tears so I can see my keyboard…I know just by what you’ve written here that you know how blessed you are to have a mother that was able to teach and give you so much.

I was not as fortunate, however I have made it my main goal to be the kind of mother to my children that God wanted for me. (my children and my husband are the reason I breathe)

God Bless you and your mom - may the peace that only He can bring rest over you always…

You wrote this? It is awesome!

I’d love to know how she taught you “that money isn’t everything. I’ve learned that I don’t have to be wealthy to be happy” Finances have been a big issue in our house lately. We are sturggling like we never have before.

BUT — the children have so much. Gratefulness comes to mind. I would like them to be more grateful for what they have. Perhaps they have been given too much? Now that I can’t give them all they desire it is biting me in the butt.

What were some specific ways she helped you learn this. Thanks!
