Non-Fiction
- On Writing Well
- I’m currently reading this book. If you need tips on improving your writing (like I do), I highly recommend reading this book. At first I thought a book on writing would be boring and dry, but so far it’s really not. It’s an enjoyable read. Now I need to finish it.
- Debt-Proof Your Kids
- I’ve actually read this one in the past, and I’m planning on putting Mary Hunt’s plan for teaching kids about money into place when my daughter turns 10. Since she’ll be turning 10 in early February, I need a refresher.
- America’s Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money
- I’m trying to be more frugal, so I figured this would be a good read.
- The Heart of Anger
- We’ve been having some issues with Liz, and I think this might help.
- 48 Days to the Work You Love
- This is actually my husband’s book, but he recommended that I read it.
- Breathe: Creating Space for God in a Hectic Life
- I received this book as part of my MOPS welcome package last year, and I never got around to reading it. Now’s the time!
- Family Fragrance - Another book that I’ve had for a while, but never got around to reading. Unfortunately I seem to have a weakness for buying books with the best of intentions, and never reading them.
- Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul
- yes, another book I bought…..you know the story by now.
Fiction
I have so much non-fiction on hand that I really limited the non-fiction.
- The Still of Night
- Kristin Heitzmann is one of my favorite authors. I bought this book to read over the summer, but ran out of time.
- Summer (Sunrise Series #2)
- This book just came out! I’ve been waiting anxiously! I love anything by Karen Kingsbury!
10 books in 12 weeks is going to be a bit of a stretch, but I think I can do it. If you want to participate in Fall Into Reading, head over to Callapidder Days to sign up!

On Writing Well — great book! Have you read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott? Another wonderful and very readable writing book.

I need to commit to this. My shelves are full of read books, and books I have not read are stashed in hiding because of the guilt. Let me take a deep breath…
I LOVE your new design. It is so cheerful and cute, and pink. I love pink and don’t see much around this boy house.

I love to read! I don’t think I’m going to commit to participate in the challenge, though. If I did, the challenge would be to limit myself to that many books!
Anyway - I’m really writing to say…
Ooooo…a new look! Very cute!

I LOVE books! Al Mohler just posted a great entry on reading. I’ll have to find the address to that article. Be sure to do some book reviews when you are finished.

That’s a lot of non-fiction! I have to keep my list half and half or so, because I know I’m going to read fiction anyway… I just can’t help it!
Thanks for being part of the challenge — enjoy your fall reading!

I’m on a non-fiction kick right now. When I finish these books, I’m sure I’ll go on a fiction kick.
