I almost hesitate to write an entire post about this, but it really is one of my best tips. I keep a small notebook in my purse. I use it for all kinds of things. When I go to the bookstore to browse and see a book I’d like to read, I whip out my notebook and write it down. Then when I’m at the library, I just look at my book list and check it out.
Last week when my daughter was at soccer practice, I was bored, so I brought out the notebook, and I started brainstorming blog post ideas. I came up with about 30 ideas in a half an hour, and now when I’m stuck for a post topic, I have a list to choose from.
Sunday when I was at Sunday school, I needed to write down the prayer requests. By now you already know what I’m going to say. I took my little notebook out of my purse and wrote them all down.
I’ve been carrying my notebook around for about a year now, and I’m finding that I don’t forget things as often. When I’m at the library, I don’t have to try to remember what book it was that I wanted to read. When I come up with a great blog idea while I’m watching my kids at the park, I can write it down, rather than trust my ever-fading memory for the details. Sometimes the simplest little things are the best tips, and my notebook works for me!

I have a notebook too. At first it was to record German phrases as I am learning to speak the language here. I am always learning new words and forget it as soon as I learned. Then I starting notetaking on top with recording email addresses and websites from advertising etc. There are a million things you need that notebook! Very handy.

I have just started carrying a notebook. It is wonderful! I usually have about 100 things going through my head at any given moment, so it’s great to get them out and on paper. I also write blog post ideas in there.
Next I need to get a dry erase board in my shower. I think of the greatest stuff in there, then it disappears as soon as I step out.
PS I LOVE the new design!!!! SO cute!

Great cure for Mommy Brain! I need to incorporate the notebook idea–I’m forever thinking of a song I want to learn the words to, or a craft idea–the moment passes and the idea fades. Thanks!

I’d have a notebook too but my kiddos would want a piece of paper everytime I bring the notebook out! I’d need one of those super big ones!!
Loved the idea though—I should do that with my Palm Pilot.

Am I the only one who immediately started hearing the music from a popular pre-k show playing in the background?
I need to get out more.
